Easter at the Ranch

We had a great time celebrating Easter at Andrea's parents' place. Her older brother, Cory, and his family were even able to visit. For more, see Andrea's blog.

Coloring eggs is fun!

Cleaning up spilled egg dye from the Czech Republic (where they don't sell the standard washable dye like they do here in the US)--not so fun!

Finding eggs filled with candy and other goodies--fun!

Playing with a cool "lightsaber" that lights up--priceless!

So handsome!

Surprise, Rochelle's pregnant too!

Sweet Garden

Andrea's parents came by to help us make a sweet raised garden. And they're not just two normal grandparents coming to help. Her dad is an organic agronomist and her mom is a "master gardener." It was pretty simple to make really. We created boxes out of 2x12's, added high-end soil, added awesome organic fertilizer from her dad (we're now "distributors" if anyone wants to buy some--it'll make your plants grow REALLY big...seriously), added seeds and water, and presto! I think Andrea took some more recent pictures. Trust me...the plants have gotten huge!

We Love Our Sharks!

Mackay had a fun first season of soccer with Andrea as his head coach. The kids decided to be the Sharks. Andrea of course did a great job getting the kids to run around the cones, teaching them to dribble, and actively coaching them (i.e. running around the field with them) during the games. All of those years playing soccer combined with her natural teaching skills sure came in handy.

Here are a few pictures from the season, which ran from February to early April.

Their first practice back in February.

Some ball-handling drills.

Throw-in drills. The kids trying to make it in the bucket.

I think this was their first game. It was tough that first week, but they definitely showed improvement.

Happy at a game in early March.

Last game. Go Sharks! (Notice how the grass has finally greened up.)

Nothing rounds out the season like a good-old medal! Way to go Mackay! We're proud of you! And way to go Coach!

My Big Sister Visits

My sister Carin and her family came to visit over the weekend. We had a great time hanging out and dragging them around town--going hiking, canoeing, and even to dinner (thanks Scott!). Good times...

Fun at Seaworld with Grandparents

We had a great time at Seaworld with Andrea's parents. As you can see from the pictures, Andrea's mom even climbed into action at the play area.

Harder to walk up than it might seem!

Best buds!

Not just a 3-D movie. 4-D with water and other effects too!

Beckett the Baker

Beckett is always a great help. Here he is helping mom with cooking. Pancakes perhaps? Muffins? Who knows, but I'm sure it was good!

And old pro!

Look at the smile on his face!

Andrea's Officially Old!

Can you believe Andrea is 30 already! She's almost as old as me! I made this little picture montage in honor of her first 30 years. In case you're wondering, the song I set it to is her favorite--it's called Juliana and talks about what a bad girl Juliana is..."Juliana que mala eres." If you look closely, there's a chance you might be in it too. Love the new iPhoto '09! (Note that you should be able to watch the video in HD by pushing play and then clicking on the triangle at the bottom right of the video and clicking on the HD option.)

Car Traffic Jam

Mackay decided it would be cool to line up all of his and Beckett's Cars movie cars along the back of the couch. I thought it was cool too!

DaBoyz: Kazer and Beckett getting their groove on...

I know, I know...it's been way too long since I've posted something (only a month, but with all of the holidays in there, I should have been able to post something!). I just downloaded picts for the last month and expect to add a few posts soon. So stay tuned (note that I'll will pre-date them to the correct date).

In the mean time, here is a short video I just made of the boys. It's not my best work (after all, I'm limited with iMovie 08--although the new version is much better!), but it was a fun process nonetheless. The boys LOVE to run around the couch like it's a race course and dance to whatever tunes we're playing. The "music video" should at least give you a flavor for their sweet dance moves and what it's like to run around the "track" that is our living room! Enjoy...

Working just like Dad...

It sure is amazing--and scary--how kids love to mimic their parents...

Beckett working on the computer.

Mackay working on the deck.

Speaking of myself...check me out with my "long" hair. Pretty sweet, eh?
